Who it is for
When the business has outgrown the accountant but not yet a CFO
Growing founder-led companies, and UK, US and Gulf businesses running finance from India, often reach a point where the books are filed on time but nobody is steering the numbers.
A virtual CFO fills that gap: strategic finance, controls and reporting at a fraction of a full-time hire, with the option to build an in-house team later.
How we work
Pilot first, then a phased transformation
Before changing anything we run a workflow analysis and gap study, so you can see exactly where cash, controls and reporting are leaking before you commit. Many engagements start with a pilot on one function.
Quick wins usually come from the basics: clear roles and job descriptions, approval rules and HR policies. Then we build the financial controls and reporting that carry a business from startup to SME and beyond.
How we start
The first ninety days
-
Step 1
Diagnose
Review of books, cash, margins, controls and compliance, with a written list of priorities.
-
Step 2
Stabilise
Month-end close calendar, cash forecast and the first management pack.
-
Step 3
Steer
Budget, KPIs and a monthly finance review with the founders.
Virtual CFO services: common questions
01What is the difference between a virtual CFO and an accountant?
An accountant records transactions and files returns. A virtual CFO uses those numbers to manage cash, plan growth, set controls and advise the founders on decisions such as hiring, pricing and borrowing.
02How much time does a virtual CFO spend on my business?
Typically two to six days a month, plus availability for decisions in between. The scope is agreed after the first review and can change as you grow.
03Do you work with companies outside Kerala and India?
Yes. We work with clients across India and in the UK, the USA, Qatar and the UAE, online and through scheduled visits.
