Business Advisory & Consulting
From the viability of an idea to the structure of a global entity, we help owners decide what to build, how to fund it and where to take it next.
What we cover
Four strands of advisory
-
01
Business ideation & viability
Market, cost and revenue modelling before you commit capital.
-
02
AOP, ABP and pitch documents
Annual operating plans, business plans and investor-ready decks grounded in your numbers.
-
03
Business funding advisory
Preparing the case for banks, NBFCs and investors, and the reporting they expect afterwards.
-
04
Expansion & transformation consulting
New markets, new entities and the operating model that holds them together.
Global business set-up
Choosing the right structure, in the right jurisdiction
Business set-up protocols vary by legal framework, tax policy and regulation. We advise on entity type (LLC, partnership, private limited, corporation), licensing, tax registration and industry-specific requirements so that market entry in India, the UK, the USA or the GCC is smooth and compliant.
We assess viability and build the financial plan alongside the structure, so the entity is ready to operate on day one.
Business model & strategy
A model that makes money and a strategy that protects it
The business model describes how value is created and revenue earned: cost structure, resources, customer channels and pricing. Strategy is the long-term plan that directs it: differentiation, growth tactics and resilience.
We identify the right revenue model and pricing, run market and competitive analysis, study customer behaviour and recommend scalability and growth strategies that keep the business relevant as the market moves.
Funding readiness
What banks, NBFCs and investors want to see
Most funding conversations stall on paperwork, not on the idea. Banks and NBFCs ask for projected financials, CMA data and a detailed project report; investors want a business plan, a pitch deck, a clean cap table and numbers that reconcile to the books.
We prepare that case with you, check it against your accounts and compliance history before anyone else does, and set up the monthly reporting lenders and investors expect once the money is in.
How an engagement runs
From a question to a plan you can act on
-
Step 1
Understand
A working session with the founders on the decision in front of you, the numbers, the market and the constraints.
-
Step 2
Model
Options compared side by side with cost, revenue and cash-flow projections, so the choice rests on numbers.
-
Step 3
Prepare
The business plan, AOP, funding pack or entity set-up, written and reviewed with you line by line.
-
Step 4
Follow through
Regular reviews of actuals against the plan, adjusting course as the business and the market move.
Business advisory: common questions
01What does a business advisor do for a small or mid-sized company?
A business advisor helps owners make the larger decisions well: whether an idea is viable, how to structure and fund the business, which markets to enter and how to organise for growth. The work ends in something concrete, such as a business plan, an operating plan, a funding pack or a new entity, not just a recommendation.
02What is an AOP or ABP?
An Annual Operating Plan (AOP) sets the year's targets, budgets and actions for each part of the business. An Annual Business Plan (ABP) is the broader version that also covers strategy, markets and investment. Both turn goals into numbers you can review every month.
03Can you help us raise a bank loan or investment?
Yes. We prepare the documents lenders and investors ask for, including projections, CMA data, detailed project reports, business plans and pitch decks, check them against your books, and help you answer the questions that follow.
04Do you help set up companies outside India?
Yes. We advise on entity type, licensing and tax registration for market entry in India, the UK, the USA and the GCC, and build the financial plan alongside the structure.
05How is business advisory different from a virtual CFO?
Advisory is usually a defined piece of work around a decision, such as a plan, a funding round or an expansion. A virtual CFO is ongoing finance leadership: cash, forecasts, reporting and controls, month after month. Many clients start with one and continue with the other.
06We only have an idea so far. Is it too early to talk?
No. Testing viability before you commit capital is one of the four strands of our advisory work. A first consultation is enough to tell whether a full study is worth doing.
